Default Charging/ Electronic Question

Germanium around 0.3V, doesn't like heat, not very available these days, use
a Schottky- around 0.35V at lowish current levels. Could use a logic FET,
around 25mV @60A! Or use selenium, 0.3V, high series resistance, so limits
current flowing(now might have to be a diy kit- contact was Cadmiun/Tin
IIRC(HSE?))! Bit smelly when it fails! Copper oxide rectifiers had a Vf
from around 0.2V. Also now diy.

You mentioned isolating the charging inputs with diodes....
A diode would provide isolation, but there is also a forward voltage
drop of between 0.6 and 0.7v.

Although he could use a germanium diode rather than silicon - that's only
about 0.1V?
