Yes.

Don't go just to Calais. If you are going for five days, you could easily
reach (say) Normandy. If you don't want to travel that far, just head an
hour or two from the ports

Hello
I didn't write my post well ,sorry.

I am planning to go via Calais for the cheaper crossing, want a couple of
sites that have good pool, access to beach and are local to a reasonable
sized town. Last time got the boat to san malo and stayed in carnac,
trying to explore Normandy, new to camping worried about it being august
so want to book with some good sites before I go

Have you looked at something like Select Site Reservations ?

Sites near beaches are always the ones that get really full. If you are
travelling mid/end August you may not have a problems getting in. Try to
arrive at your chosen campsite by 3.00pm. If you are happy to be inland you
will likely always find space.
