This seems very simple statement to me.

Very clear and reasonable terms and conditions - Owners responsibility to
take necessary precautions - you would not leave a mobile phone on top of
your car whilst you went for a cup of coffee for instance, or would you?!

Roy

OH left her handbag on the roof and drove off!!

Now if you had used a (market trader's) clamp it may still be there!

"when it is not in use and unhitched from the towing vehicle."

Couldn't be clearer!

So if it's not in use but attached to the tow car no security device is required?

That is correct, th CC ijsurance is very user friendly

Does this mean that I have 13" wheels on my van? I need to know for
the size of the wheel clamp I need to get.

There's more to read on the sides of your tires.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire_code

Now you know everything,

Gerard

Except how to spell tyre.
Interestingly the diagram in the article looks just like the one in my
Land Rover Defender handbook, and the tyre size illustrated - LT
235/85R16 - is the standard fitment on Defenders.

I was well aware of the misspelled word, but correcting it would have
made the link useless.
I sincerely hope that 'American' refers to the author of the Wikipedia
article and not to me.
I would find that very tiresome.

Hi all
I am just changing insurance companies, and to comply with the new company
rules which states that
when left unattended, attached to the car, the caravan should have a wheel
clamp attached.
In my handbook it states that the whels are "165R13"
Does this mean that I have 13" wheels on my van? I need to know for the
size of the wheel clamp I need to get.
Thanks in advance
