Default Sad sign of the times?

Perhaps I have been naiive but in about 40 years of camping I have
never considered that any camper on a site would stoop so low as to
steal another camper's cool bag full of provisions.

Llyn Gwynant campsite Snowdonia, June 9th, during the day while we
were out some low-life scum decided to relieve us of almost our entire
food supply from where it was tucked underneath the camping trailer(to
keep cool).

My opinion of the integrity of my fellow camper has just been lowered
by several points!

Disgusted!

Neil

You have my sympathies. The scum are almost everywhere these days, you
won't be able to leave your tent next.

Justin.

Thats what you get when you put thieves on a pedestal instead of shooting
them.

Do you support the death penalty for making noise after 11pm on
campsites too?

That is sad, dispiriting. We were at Llanberis recently and not a hint
of such things.

Might it be a mild consolation that they stole food - which presumeably
they couldn't afford to buy - rather than expensive camping items?

I do not believe for one microsecond that it was stolen out of
necessity! As I said, in all my years of camping I have never come
across this kind of theft on a camp site. I've heard of bicycles
being taken if not chained up. But food? No-one cannot afford to buy
food if they are on holiday! No! It is just stealing for no reason
other than to deprive someone else of their comfort, and it disgusts
me!
