petrol/electric hybrid vans - why not?

It is a no brainer for any logistics company to switch to petrol/
electric van:

_it will make big savings in fuel cost.

_exempt from the congestion charge

I don't know why those companies(like Ford, Vauxhall, Citroen and
Mercedes Benz) are not using them and
car companies are not building them?

Recommendations for Norfolk

Hello

Can anyone recommend a CL or similar site in Norfolk for August?
We're looking for something within easy reach of the coast, but not too
close to large conurbations. Electric Hook Up is essential, toilets are not.
Something within easy reach of Sandringham would be nice.

Many Thanks

Receiver Wheel Locks

Hi

Just got back from our first trip in the new van which is fitted with a
receiver wheel lock - the type that screws through the alloy wheel into a
receiver on the alko frame.

When I tried out the wheel lock on our (fairly level) drive it was fine,
however it's quite a different matter when the pitch isn't level and you
need to use ramps! The problem is that you need to align the receiver fairly
exactly with the centre of one of the gaps between the wheel spokes. To do
this you inevitably need to tweak the wheel a few degrees either way and
that's not easy to do when you have the wheel ramped up - alternatively,
it's hard to push the wheel up a ramp when it's locked!

My solution was to jack up the wheel with my bottle jack, fit the lock and
then lower back onto the ramp. Is there a better solution? Maybe things are
easier if you have a mover fitted, though I still don't see how you fit the
lock and get the wheel up a ramp.

Thanks for any advice.

Thomas
