Caravan club versus Camping and Caravanning Club by Zinc Potterman
We were advised to join The Caravan Club by experienced autohome owners. They gave us some magazines from The Camping and Caravanning Club. I assumed they were one and the same organisation and I just made a right burk of myself by phoning the latter and asking for some missing items from my joining pack. Which do people prefer? Pros and cons Discuss Zinc

Glueing items to Van bodywork by DIM
I'm considering sticking a scoop to the bonnet of my Talbot Express to increase airflow through the heater/vents and keep the water out. I really don't want to have to drill the bonnet so am looking for a permanent 'glue' of some description to hold it in place. Obviously it will be subject to a lot of wind force so I doubt a non-setting sticky substance will do. Does anyone have any...

Solar Trickle charger by Droog Genzel
Further to the recent posts regarding the small solar panels that can plug into the cigarette lighter socket or the auxilliary power socket - I am wondering how it would be best to use these. I have checked both sockets on my Ducato motorhome and both are not live inless the ignition is on. This being the case & probably the case for a lot of cars/vans - how would the battery be charged...

Secure Parking by Barbara Ratcliffe[_2_]
Be warned fellow motorhome owners, there is no such thing as SECURE parking for Motorhomes. We have been storing our motorhome in a secure parking compound, supposedly with CCTV and security personnel, but found today, doors and all internal fittings removed, the internal fittings obviously professionally removed!!! as the security alarms etc were cleverly disabled. The entire vehicle is a...

Advice for trike rear wheel? by Steve W
Any recommendations for the best rim on the rear of my tadpole trike. 559 (26") size and using 1.35" to 1.5" tyres. I assume there are other things to take into consideration because of the side loading that will be experienced.

Turbo problem? by George Waring
I have a motorcaravan based on a Fiat Ducato 1.9 TD. Less than 30,000 miles over ten years. The engine has recently started producing a strange howling noise, but only when the vehicle is in motion. The pitch of the howl rises and falls with engine revs and while working up the gears can produce a fair imitation of a police siren! Once cruising in top gear the noise is barely audible. Given the...
