What do you use to polish the dimple effect on your *vans*? by Ian
My camper body has that dimpled effect aluminum seen on many caravans. If you try and polish it the polish gets stuck in the holes and you cant buff it without great difficulty. So, what do you use?

Motorhome covers? by Hilary[_4_]
Does anyone cover their pride and joy to protect it from the worst of the weather? I've been looking at some reviews and it seems that covering can be as damaging as the weather. So any oppinions gratefully received. I wouldnt normally worry about over wintering but we had a slight lapse the other month. We headed down south for a holiday in a 17 yr old motorhome and came back with a...

Vietnam Tourist Visa,Vietnam Business Visa by Vietnam Travel
Visa on arrival is the best way to get visa quickly and hassle-free. Normally,it takes 2-3 working days to get approval letter (in urgent case, it take 1 day or half day depend on customer's request). Then we send you a copy and you use it to fly to Vietnam. At a Vietnam International Airport , you will get visa stamped on your passport. For your trip, you need one- month single entry visa....

Tyre Recomendation? VW T4 Holdsworth Villa by Brian[_5_]
I would like to replace the tyres on my VW T4 Holdsworth Villa (J Reg). The current ones - Firestone CV3000, 185 R 14C 8 P.R. are still legal but old. My journeys will be confined to UK. I would prefer tyres that perform well over grass surfaces without compromising road travel by too much. Any recommendations please? Brian

1991 Kon Tiki 6 berth help please by Dribbler[_2_]
We have just bought a 1991 Fiat Ducato 14 Swift Kon Tiki 6 berth. It's the one with the 'U' shaped seating at the end. We are lacking a handbook and need lots of advice, Swift say a new one will take two weeks to arrive. In the meantime, we have two weekends away booked and have little idea how everything works inside. Can anyone please help? Ideally, could someone who owns one email me so we...

Caravan & Camping Club insurance with Equity Red Star crap or is it just me? by Colin[_3_]
When we got our camper at the beginning of the we got Insurance with our existing car insurer Norwich Union, who had been excellent for four years with one accident and various price increases to deal with. Never had better, they bent over backwards to help and were very good. Anyway, got the camper and decided to join both Caravan Club and Camping and Caravan Club. On reading some of their...

Extra Leisure battery charging? by Colin[_3_]
G' day to all. I have a coach built camper running one 75Ah starter battery and one 85Ah leisure battery both under the hood and standard fit. I should like to connect two sealed 110Ah batteries fitted one on drivers step and one on passengers step as backup power for when we are not on mains. The question is how should these be charged? They say you should only charge batteries of the same...

For many years (since Micronet days) I have been bouncing around the Newsgroups. To all of you who know me or have heard of me I bid you a fond farewell in advance. Unfortunately itís looking like MrBlueSkye will be clocking off for good shortly. A recent emergency visit and hospital stay in my local cardiac unit has revealed that I have an Aortic root aneurism that has billowed to 60mm...

What's it like to live with a smaller motorhome (on a Toyotachassis)? by James Harris
Anyone have any experience of living with a smaller motorhome such as http://www.vantasticvans.com/inventory/32738/Used-1992-Itasca-Spirit-Toyota-21.aspx I've seen an ad for a similar one that's about 16 feet long. It apparently has standing room of over 6 feet, an internal shower and a double bed above the cab. The motorhome is a long way away from where I live so I've only seen the ad so...
