Default Residents flee from caravan park inferno

A woman needed hospital treatment after three caravans were destroyed in an
early-morning fire yesterday.

Fire crews were called out just after 5am when afire broke out in acaravan
on the Barlows' Caravan Park in Caerwys, Flintshire.

The fire on the 285-caravan site is thought to have spread quickly due to
heavy winds in the area at the time.

Three static caravans were totally destroyed by the fire, which also damaged
afourth caravan and acar.

One of the caravans was occupied, but all the occupants were able to escape
without harm. The fire is thought to have started accidentally and its cause
was being investigated last night.

Another woman was treated for suspected smoke inhalation at Ysbyty Glan
Clwyd.

Meanwhile, eight fire crews attended ablaze at an industrial estate in Flint
on Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to the Castle Park Industrial Estate in Flint at 2.42pm
on Saturday after afire in an industrial unit.

The fire was made stronger by a large amount of oil-based fuel and officers
had to cool down propane cylinders in case of explosion
