Default Caravan Covers

When we bought our new caravan in 2004 we also had a cover from specialised
accessories. We only used it the first year as it is now stored undercover
in a barn, though I didn't really want to use it again as it took me a
while to clean off the scuff marks on the windows with T-Cut. You might say
its not supposed to do that as the material is advertised as non-abrasive, I
suspect that that statement is correct as long as the cover is not buffeted
by the wind, as ours was, when it was stored at our previous open storage
site even though it was firmly strapped to the van. I'm thinking of using
the cover again in the barn as it does get a bit dusty and this year when we
got it out the amount of bird mess on the top indicated a couple of birds
had got in the barn and where thinking of nesting on it !!
The reason I am is asking is has anyone else had a similar problem in the
context of the buff marks on the windows? And is there anyone who stores
there caravan as we do in undercover storage but still use a cover and do
they still get the scuff marks?
