Default Night Crossings on Brittany ferries

Have used it quite a few times, to Caen, St Malo and Cherbourg.

If I remember right ferry sails at about 10.00 - 10.30hrs. If
everything runs on time, it gives you just enough time to board and
buy dinner, by the time you have eaten it they will be closing. Even
worse if you board late.

If you arrive at the ferry port (Portsmouth) early, say 18:00hrs, just
as you drive in from the road, there is a parking area on the left at
the top end of the gate lane. Pull in there, NOT into a gate lane, as
they sometimes out early.

Walk under the underpass (Main Road into the city) and there is a
Travel lodge with a Brewers Fare or similar. Walk back and pull your
rig into a lane ready for passport check in, stress free and full !
