I've had a 12V Pace Javelin Sky Digibox for over 3 years now and it is
great for the van, I've used it up and down the country and whilst on
holiday in France. It can run from mains or battery, is very light &
small in size and I've never had a problem with it. I bought it with
the intention of using it only when we were away but soon discovered
that $ky will only authorize your card for use in a single box. I
believe that Pace no longer make them but you may find somewhere
selling old stock or re-conditioned ones online. I'm not aware of
another model which runs direct from 12V without the use of an
inverter. Perhaps someone else knows of one or you could do a search
online. Alternatively you could buy a cheaper unit which runs from
230V mains if you prefer.

Next you ideally want a tripd. I would highly recommend using one of
these as it makes your dish positioning much more flexible than using
a pole attached to the jockey wheel. You can buy a proper one for 60
plus or make use of a 20 camping rotary washing line. It works just
as well and doesn't look out of place.

You need a dish with LNB & mounting attachments and a length of
satellite coax, the longer the better.

I bought my dish from a seller on ebay. I can't find his details on
ebay anymore but there's another seller currently selling the same
type of dish including LNB & mounting brackets for 8.99. See here...

There are some very good website with information on setting up your
dish when on site. It may sound daunting but after a few tries it is
very simple and it rarely takes me more than a few minutes to set it
up with a perfect picture.

Have a look here http://homepage.ntlworld.com/de.sullivan/

You'll find loads of useful information.
