Hi,
Just back from above CC site...usual nice clean CC site, but, NO
MENTION in the site book of the Main Railway line that runs along the rear
of the site (about 50yds away) the noise at night is...well not good...also,
the site is called "Seaview" But you are on a Hillside looking down onto
the roofs of the houses below...beyond those are the derelict remains of an
old Factory or something...then the docks to your left...THEN THE SEA...
If you are interested in Military Aircraft, you will see and HEAR
plenty...the noise from what i think are Tornado`s is frightening..they fly
night and day overhead at low level...tho mostly during the day...every hour
or so...less often at night...maybe only 3 or 4 times at night...tho not
after ten i think.
I would go back but not for a while...and if you want peace and quiet then
do not even consider this site...the trains annoyed me most, all through the
night i was woken bye them.
I think the CC should describe there sites better coz this was definatly a
cover up, a few people had travelled quit a bit to get there and were
dissapointed by the noise levels from the trains.
If you do go, try and make sure you have alternative place to go to if the
noise gets too much..

BM.

And you have written to the Club to suggest that this is included in the
Site details in the next Directory, just as they do for example for
Wyatts Covert in Bucks which is close to an airfield?

Alternatively the site report form is on page 573 0f the 2003/2004
Handbook.
