Anyone tried those compact camping towels, the one that are supposed to

after just wringing them out. They look small and light, just right for

cycle touring.

Try Scafell Rock's 'Sportowel' - got mine from and Asda superstore. Made of
microfibres and dried me and my hair fantastic after a swim..... seen it in
sports shops as well. Nice and soft, and you can also use it to cushion
pack straps, damp it to keep cool in the sun, put over your pack for a
pillow, wipe off condensation or the underneath of the groundsheet before
packing, and can quickly wash it out and use it all over again in hals a
day. It dries out very quick on the back of a pack, and certainly overnight
inside the tent. 40x90cm but folds up to the size of a paperback. 8ish
and weights the same as a couple of flannels.

I wish I'd invented it.
