Plenty of good beaches and amusement arcades in the Woolacombe Area. Lee Bay
is good for crab-lining and fishing. IIRC there is a sort of kids theme park
on the main road out of Woolacombe ( the road that leads to Mullacott
Cross ) - I seem to remember it was called "Once Upon A Time", and also a
family theme park type place in Watermouth Bay -
http://www.watermouthcastle.com/ . The Campsite at Mortehoe ( can't remember
the name ) has an indoor swimming pool, shop etc. , but I'm not sure if
they're open to customers only or not . . .

The Area is superb for walkers, fit or unfit - there is the coastal path and
plenty of quiet public footpaths - check out the path from Lee up into the
Borough Valley . . .
Mortehoe has a couple of excellent pubs, and also a fine chippy . . .
You'll adore the place - Mortehoe has an almost Mediterranean feel to it -
we dined at the bistro at the top of the hill - we sat outside eating pasta
and a nice Chianti - it was just like sitting outside a little taverna . . .
