Default Stove advice

If you are car camping then I suppose that gas cooking is the easiest
option, either using small cans or larger bottles. They give a high output
and are easy to use. The MSR is not a bad cooker, not as good as the Primus
omnifuel though, but both are overkill for car camping.

As a stove collector, I am spoiled for choice, I have about 40 stoves to
pick from, but for weekend car camps, a gas stove and maybe a Trangia meths
burning kit for days in the hills would cover you well. You can pick up an
ex Swedish army Trangia on ebay.co.uk for about 10, this includes
windshield, two pans and burner, you can't go wrong at that money.

Ask the lads at

on the forum, they are a friendly bunch with a wealth of stove knowledge.
