Given the recent reports of theft, what's the consensus regarding
vulnerability - are motorhomes or caravans more at risk? Motorhomes tend

to
have a higher value overall and therefore a good target but I'm wondering
wether the fact that they are registered officially to be on the road may

be
a deterrent?

Motorhomes get stolen professionally but less often. Caravans get stolen by
pikeys a lot more.

Have you ever seen a pikey in a motorhome?

Hi Mike,

Pikey is a colloquialism. In some parts they are none as 'diddys', gypos or
simply thievin' bas***ds.

Yes, what he meant to say, of course, was 'honest travelling folk'!

isn't that term more likely to get you into bother, isn't deflamation (or
one of those terms) calling someone something they are not? if so then
calling a pikey honest is about as far from the truth as you can get

There was a post a while ago about motorhome thefts increasing in ireland,
due to someone passing a law to try and get rid of the pikey camps in almost
every town,
the law said no caravans were allowed, so for the pikeys to continue to live
on the camps they are stealing motorhomes, as they are allowed.. at the
moment,
