Newbie purchase advice wanted

The father in law is after his first camper and wondered if anyone
could suggest anything that meets his needs:
He needs something that is two berth and needs cooking/dining
facilities but these can be minimal. It must have a toilet and shower.
It should also be small enough to use as his day-to-day vehicle but
big enough to use for weekends away and the odd weeks holiday.
He'd prefer diesel but would consider petrol. Most importantly he's on
a pension so has a limited budget!
Sounds like an Autohomes Bambi or a Romahome would suit him fine. The newer
Romahomes are on Citroen diesels. Have a look at
neither is big enough to include a shower but most sites have them. Both
small, reasonably economical both to buy and run and a doddle to park.
Some people complain that a rose has thorns, others rejoice that a
thorn has roses.
