A Ducato handbook won't help you remove the leisure battery since it
would have been fitted by the converter, not Fiat.

You will probably have to remove the seat to get at the battery, the seat
is only held in place by four bolts, just remove them and lift the seat
off.

Hi Roy

I have an English handbook for a Fiat Ducato based Hymer, albeit a
2002 model, however it does not explain how to remove the leisure
battery. Hopefully someone else will be able to help with advice.

Yes. I have just had some work done which included connections to the
Ducato (2002) leisure battery. The seat did come off, just as Andy says,
and it did not look difficult. If you do it yourself take really great
care that the battery terminals cannot be accidentally shorted together
with metal objects. Not difficult, but worth a reminder!
