Default Advertising our new shop OK?

We are full-timers who have just started a small online shop with some
products that may be of interest. Is posting a brief advert for it here OK?

Tools - Options - Signatures .... Keep it to four lines max and no-one can
really complain. Then your website / advert / stupid expression / wit /
joke etc etc is seen every time you post ..

The normal rule on newsgroups is that it's OK to put a FEW ads as long
as the subject line begins AD - . People can then ignore it manually or
program their news reader to ignore it. The ad itself doesn't have to be
all that brief, just text only. This way it doesn't take too long to
download.

Cheers
