Reversing ... Radar or Camera?
In article , SandS
A) Reversing CAMERAS:
1) If reversing cameras come on when reverse is selected do you
have to wait for the TV to warm up before there is a picture ? I
would have thought that even a few seconds could become
irritating. Or is the TV on all the time but the picture is only
displayed when reverse is selected?
2) What about TV performance in the dark .... is it useable with
the reversing light or do you need one with its own LED lights?
3) Is there any real advantage to colour as opposed to B&W
(sorry for late response)
I have a b&w camera and rely on it a fair amount, although i am
uncertain generally about reversing even a short van, and ask a friend
to stand outside and direct me in more tricky actions.
A colour image would be a definite advantage in some common conditions -
bright sunlight for example, or when the contrast/lighting make image
contrast is very high (even though it is adjustable...) In such
conditions, it is very hard to distinguish between some shadows and
other real objects (grass verges etc) and it slows me down a lot. I
would strongly recommend using a colour one.
