How to value a 1984 VW Karisma?

Any way of getting a realistic value for this camper?
Tricky really. It was top of the range in it's day but being 20
years old you're unlikely to get what you might consider it's
true value. There's also plenty of similar vintage VW campers on
the market due to their longevity, some at silly-cheap prices.
I saw one "minter" of a Karisma recently advertised at £5,500 but
no way would it sell at that price. Personally I'd guestimate
around £3000 as the max an A1 low-mileage one would see as a
private sale, and knock a grand off that if it's showing it's
age. The value of any motorcaravan is what you can get for it at
the time (and how long you're prepared to wait). Halve that for
the dealer value.
Auction it on eBay, VW campers tend to reach good prices there.
Or if you're in no hurry advertise it in the motorcaravan mags.
But sell it before late autumn or watch the price plummet.
