Default Electrical hookup cables/connectors

Hi

Can anyone advise if the electrical hookup connectors used in the UK
(three pin adaptor), can be used on continental Europe - in
particular Austria, Italy, Switzerlan and Belgium.

It appears that these countries have two pin plugs for mains voltage
(this varies from 220 to 230v ac)

Thanks

Jim

The different voltage shouldn't be any problem.

Many thanks. I also need to know what the power cable ends look like -
the male or female adaptor that fits from the camper van into the
campsite electricity supply - does it have three pins or holes?

Thanks

Jim

Some Austrian, Italian, and Belgium (as well as France) campsites have
the same 3 pin blue connections like UK. Others in these countries have
a 2 pin connector, some with a side earth connection. A camping
accessory shop will be able to supply these in the form of an adaptor
lead.

Switzerland however, has a completely different unique 3 pin connection.
You are unlikely to get adaptors for this system anywhere other than in
Switzerland, but most Swiss campsites have adaptor leads which you can
borrow when you arrive.

Do not concern about the 200v and 230v aspect.

All the campsite connections will be in the form of sockets (i.e. holes)
and your lead or adaptor should end in plug.
