Could someone give an idea of what range the insurance for something like a
`06 Fiat AUTOQUEST 200 costing about £23000 would be.
I am used to paying £220 Fully Comp for a 2.0 Mondeo 2003.
Are motorvan insurances dearer?

Many Thanks
Martin C

Campton Insurance brokers are worth calling for a quote:
http://www.tandridge.gov.uk/organisa...ganisation=252
or
http://tinyurl.com/2cc8em
They are something of a specialist in this market and understand things
like longer-than-normal visits to mainland Europe. I have always had
good service from them.

I'd recommend them too. I've used them for my campervan insurance for the
past 5 years, as did the previous owner.

We've justy taken out insurance with Comfort for our brand new Adria Twin,
because, of the insurers we called (Budget, Saga, Towergate and a few
others) they wrre the only ones who would cover us for use as Class 1
business (to drive to & from a place of work).

We have no intention of using our van as a trading vehicle or to have
meetings in, but it would be useful as a 'normal' vehicle for use like a
larger car.

Although we do have a car, each, both Linda I are Project Managers, and can
often be at different places acros the UK at the same time and need the
flexibility if, for example, one or both cars are off the road for a service
or other reason, to use the panel van in just the same way.

Most of the insureres listed onl;y allow the van's use purey as a leisure
vehicle and would not cover us driving to a place of work. How stupid is
that !

The only limitation we agreed to was 12,000 miles a year, but that shoud not
be a problem and could be ammended during the ploicy. The cover also
includes 365 days a year cover in the EU (if only we could take a year
off!!!)

Tony.
