Well lots of air gettin into the tank points to a blown head gasket, can get
a test done at a garage to tell if combustion gasses are in the cooling
fluid, or you may be able to smell it if it's bad.

oil light could be faulty sender, or could be worn main bearings, worn oil
pump, stuck bypass vale in the pump etc.

starter sticking, take it off and clean the bendix,
battery could be on it's last legs, or alternator is on it's way out/dead,
or bad connections in the charge circuit,

I have a couple of friends that have an Emina (I used to call it an enima as
well!) and an estima (5" narrower than a previa IIRC) , I have just put the
Estima through an MOT apart from a sticking nearside calliper and brake
hoses nothing else needed, 160,000 miles and 14 years old in remarkable
condition. does between 70 and 100 miles a day....
The estima a few years ago gave those symptoms due to a clogged radiator,
replaced before the HG went

There is a very active Estima/Emina forum (google is your friend) Very
helpfull one of the guys does a CD with all the common faults and fixes
..

I have found a few jap imports have still got the original battery, so at
this age it may be an idea to check that
