Can anyone help.Looking for a site close to a town or village with pub and
shops. Prefer lower lakes around Windemere/Bowness. Would use Caravan club
but its always booked up. Have a small motorhome so hook up would be good.

We've used Thacka Lea in Penrith. Fairly basic but all facilities. Actually
in the town so convenient for shops, pub etc. Only possible drawback is that
its close to the WCML railway so some noise.

Yes, this is a great site. Sites set amonst trees in small groups

A short walk to the village, Pub etc. And the butcher is just like it should
be. They don't worry about a bit of fat on the meat Quote " it adds to the
flavour" unquote
