Satellite dishes are easily found - try Google for related sites, or as
someone else said look on Ebay.

However if you ever go over the channel you will have a much greater
range at competitive prices (i.e. cheaper) in any of the DIY sheds in
France - Leroy Merlin or Bricoman are two that spring to mind. You will
get a complete kit of 80cm dish, LNB (the electronics on the end of the
arm at the front) and a free-to-air receiver for about ?80.

If you are buying over here don't bother with a 'Sky' dish as they are
deliberately designed to only just work in the UK - that's why there are
two sizes usually expressed as for England and Wales or the bigger for
Scotland. Get a conventional dish - 60cm is good enough for the UK and
Eire, IME all of France, Belgium, Holland, and most of Germany. You will
need something on which to mount it; I purchased the tripod for a set of
work lights but without the lights (Bricoman Boulogne ?11.)

The tripod just needs to be stable: mine has three legs that hinge at
the bottom so the bottom of the shaft is only an inch or so above the
ground. You will often see people poncing about using a tripod that
looks like an upturned rotary clothes airer (indeed some of them are
exactly that) but they are nowhere near as stable. You don't need to
have the dish in the air - it will work quite happily at ground level
provided it can 'see' the bit of the sky that it needs clearly.

You will need a reasonable compass to be able to direct the dish - in
the UK somewhere around 145deg. Look at www.satsig.net for more info.
You will also find a satfinder useful - when on offer in Lidl or Aldi
they cost less than a fiver. After that it's just trial and error until
you find the sat and can maximise the signal. I've been doing it in the
van now since 2006 and I can set it up in total in about 20 mins - it
usually only takes 5-10 mins or less to line up the dish.

You will find much useful info at www.satcure.co.uk and
www.satelliteforcaravans.co.uk

I think it depends on where in the country we go we never get good pics in
Suffolk. Took our freeview box last year and got good pics in Norfolk.
