Default Alarm IDM3

Got one of these in my new to me caravan, it idecates it is fully charged in
the control panel rechargable battery, the 2003 Bailey handbook makes no
mention of the recharging socket. Will it be charging from the caravans own
charger when on hook up?
Should there be a charger supplied to plug into this socket?

The battery in the IDM3 is a 12 volt,1.3 amp hour sealed lead acid type and
is recharged to some degree from the main charger if it has three fixed
input wires, older ones only have two.The red wire is connected to the
internal battery via an amperage limiting resistor and diode. There is a 5mm
female jack socket provided for connection of a 'plug top' charger which
must have a limited output of only 300 mil amps (0.3 amps) to prevent
damage to the battery as no control apart from a diode to prevent reverse
polarity is provided within the unit.
The makers, CEC Plug in Systems will supply a replacement of the correct
output and connection.
