Default 1998 Shogun SWB Tow help

Hi Group
I own a 1998 3000 swb Shogun,
It is well within capability of towing my present caravan, but i'm
considering changing my van this year.
Could some please post or email me the max tow weight and noseweight or
point to the right website for the info

Default 1998 Shogun SWB Tow help

Hi Scooby,


Have a look on the vehicles VIN plate. The two largest figures are the
Gross Train Weight and the Gross Vehicle Weight. Deducting one from the
other will give towing limit with the vehicle fully laden.

For the noseweight, have a look at the towbar. A vehicle first registered
from Aug 1998 onwards requires type approved towing equipment and this will
be labelled as such. On the label is an 'S' value. This is the maximum
static noseweight in Kilos on the the towball.
