Going to France with caravan this summer.

Any suggestions on travel insurance (preferably for motoring and personal)
that don't mind medication and ongoing conditions?

TIA Budgie

I went with eurocamp independent, used their insurance and so long as your
GP gives you a letter saying you are fit to travel, same price as everybody
for insurance and no extra excess and full cover. I was happy, best i could
get as independent insurance was 600.00 excess. martin

Sorry, should have mentioned their FAQ:

Q - I have a medical condition, can I be covered?
A - Before you buy a policy, we ask you to confirm that you are NOT

* receiving or on a waiting list for treatment in a hospital or
nursing home
* travelling against the advice of a medically qualified doctor
* travelling for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment
* travelling after being given a terminal prognosis

If you can confirm all these points you can buy our cover online.

Tesco were good for me, one of the few (including so called specialist
disability insurance companies) who didn't exclude pre existing conditions.

For Medical cover could be worth looking at changing your bank
account.
e.g. Lloyds TSB Platinum Account gives full worldwide cover for a
family of 4 including children in full time education up to 24 yrs
old, for trips up to 45 days & its cheap to extend.
You also get a 6000 overdraft with the first 250 interest free,
Sentinal Credit Card Cover & basic AA Motor cover.

Nice idea. Hadn't thought of that one.

We have had the same with Alliance & Leicester Premier but unfortunately for
us it ceases when one reaches age 70. Understand the Royal Bank of Scotland
has a similar annual travel scheme.
