I have the above caravan 1994 model. There is no hot water system on
this van, would it be worthwhile fitting a water heater and what would
be involved? The van is very very clean and dry. You would think it was
a recent van by its condition, I intend to keep this van for some time
hence the question. I know it doesn't take long to boil a kettle but
readily available hot water would be nice.

Paloma water heaters are available in most dealers, but they are about 250.
Maybe get one from a breakers for about 50.
Fix to wall- cut hole in roof for the flue. Connect gas and water pipes.

Open flame water heaters of the Poloma type can be had new for around 160,
but are not recommended for use in a tourer, the open flame bit is the give
away.

Malaga water heaters are around 300, vent through the side wall and are
completely sealed, so that would be the one to go for, although the expense
doesn't stop there. The OP will need new tap assemblies, and more pipe than
previously fitted!!

Cheers
