Don't open the windows and curtains in your home until the outside temp is
lower than the inside, whatever the temptation is. Have some fans running
inside. Learnt this the hard way when we lived in Sydney OZ many years ago.

You could install air con, but is it worth it for a few weeks a year, and
not every year.
