| Well just had a few days at a CL in Maryport.
| What a nighmare - well we made the best of it
| what can you expect for a fiver? What do you think?
| 1] Advertised Shower and Toilet & Sink well it
| defies belief really. Shower was knacked. Toilet
| worked so did the sink but the condition was.......
| well we used the van instead. Funny old thing. On Sunday
| just stoked up the BBQ and a friendly voiced said
| "now then - alright". I looked around to see a stranger
| who introduced himself as a CC CL inspector. I said
| that I was just thinking of him. Anyway I mentioned the
| toilet and he wanted to know what the problem was. I declined
| a description but suggested that he take a look for himself.
| 2] Squatters camped out in the adjacent woods. Police
| arrived to evict them.
| 3] Friendly football match - entertainment but not so
| when the stupid ****s started a kick about between the vans.
| When the ball thudded into my car I wandered over to one
| who looked like he might have half an ounce of brain and
| quietly mentioned that since it was a charity match they
| might like to think how stupid they'd look with a massive
| bill for damage. All the adjacent van windows were open.
| Imagination will tell you the potential problem, let alone
| a massive dent in the van. They co opperated, well there was
| a whole empty bloody Rugby Pitch to mess about on.
| 4] The vanners next door - [just not our day] not one dog
| not two dogs but three. All kept in a wire cage in the awning
| and taken for a crap walk once a day. Poor sods. I was over 30
| degrees on Sat. Barking dogs on a Sunday evening - well.......
| Why they didn't put the buggers into a kennel I don't know.
| It would have been kinder.
| 5] Went to a part at a freinds house. Got ****ed and decided
| to leave the car. Sensible. Next day discovered I had forgotten
| how to get to his house and spent hours looking for it on foot.
| I was disappointed to discover they had gotten up early and
| had gone out with their dog for a walk. So after burning me mobile
| up I finally found it.
| 6] The retaining screw for the snakemaster towbar bracket snapped.
| No problem - drilled it out.
| 7] Went for a walk down by the river wondering why I bothered
| going there in the first place. Walking through the long grass
| and weeds and things - something landed on my arm inside the
| crook. It looked like a beetle of some king but the sting it
| gave me was worse than any Bee or Wasp. That basically killed
| the rest of the day as I fought with the pain then discomfort
| and an eventual visit to my local A&E on arriving home. A minor
| reaction has caused a few complications. So I am now off on the
| sick for a few days. "Did you keep the insect for analysis?" "What?
| of course not you stupid **** I was on me knees in frigging
| agony."
| 8] Emptied the toilet [I hate this part] and guess what? Nope
| I didn't drop the cap down the **** pit. I dropped the **** all over
| the surround and spent the next half hour cleaning it all up.
| Well that was my Week-end vanning. Oh I missed something.... on
| arrival on Friday, a truck carying a load of logs - you know the
| hight sided ones - came round a corner a few hundred yards from
| the site and rolled over. Apparently its acommon occurance.
| According to the locals. So we were treated to flahing lights
| and all sorts as they sorted the mess out.
| Retrospectively - I think I should have sussed out that it was
| going to be one of those trips and just packed up and gone home.
| But despite all the above I cannot wait for next week end. But I
| will tell you what.........I'll not be going anywhere near that
| place again.

Normal couple of days then ;o)
