Default Twin electrics plug mounting plate replacement

I have got an MPV with twin electrics and towbar. I want to hide some
scratches and fit a stainless steel protection plate, plus replace the plug
retaining plate because its all bent and rusty.

Is it possible to dismantle the plugs and feed the bits through the holes on
the plate , so I can avoid having to strip out the wires iinside the car ?

Please advise , plus give any links showing the dismantled plug wiring
