Default Dunkirk port stopover

Hi. We're travelling Norfolkline this year on a late ferry. Anyone know if
there's anywhere to park overnight in or around the ferry port?

Dunno about around the port,

but we always use norfolk line, we go out on a 04:00 sailing so we're
arriving in france at about 7am local time, ready for a days drive having
traveled down to dover the night before and kipped on the quay side where
motorhomes/caravans are allowed to park up for free between 6pm and 8 am,
pay after them times.

But when we come back as we have our dog with us, we get her jabs done at
the vet in dunkirque town, which is up the road from the docks, and there's
a stop over place right on the beach in the town,

I just can't remember how we found it tho, i remember it's at the end of the
prommenade, near a harbour type area, i recall casino's around the area
because first night we stayed on a large car park that belonged to the
casino's, then we found the proper stop over place.

if i looked on a map i'd prolly see it straight away, but it was ok there
for a couple of nights... no bother, had people coming round every so often
selling stuff, but htey went away when we said no ta, the beach infront of
the parking area is the dog beach, so ideal if you have rover with you, the
people beach is about 50 yards to the right where the promonade starts,
there's som bogs, tap and all that there too.
