Default Overseas Couple Die in Caravan Accident

Elderly couple die in truck crash

An elderly couple has died in a collision with a road train at an
intersection in southern Queensland, police said.

A spokeswoman said the accident occurred at 1.45pm (AEST) when the couple's
Ford Falcon station wagon towing a caravan collided with a prime mover
pulling two trailers at the intersection of the Gore and Leichhardt
Highways.

The 84-year-old man and his 79-year-old wife, believed to be from South
Australia, died at the scene, 18km north of Goondiwindi.
