Default Scotland - Caravan Site Plan Put On Hold

AN APPLICATION for planning permission for a caravan site in Strathkinness
has been put on hold until councillors can see for themselves what is

Some eight acres of agricultural land at Knockhill Farmhouse, a mile west of
the village and to the north of the Strathkinness to Dairsie Bridge Road,
were earmarked for a residential caravan site for 45 tourist vans,
incorporating a new access road and reception building.

While planners had recommended conditional approval, Fife Council's
transportation service and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency were
against the application, considered by members of the east area development

They raised concerns over access and the details of drainage proposed.
Strathkinness Community Council said they had no objections to the
development in principal, however members had raised concerns over its scale
and over transportation issues.

Councillors will determine the application after a visit to the site.
