Glenshee camping by Bob Watkinson
Anyone know if there's any camping in the vicinity of the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel? I know there was a site at Bridge of Cally (now as of this year no longer accepting tents) and I know of a site a little nearer but appears to be full of empty statics. Cheers guys, Bob

1st time camping requirements by Stephen[_3_]
Hello, I'm thinking of going camping for the first time this year, with my children. Is there a list of what I need to buy or borrow? A tent, a sleeping bag... Something to cook on or do you eat out? Chairs and a table if you are "eating in"

New to camping by CBtye
Hello I am thinking about starting to go camping for holidays and I am new to it. I have done a little bit of camping before but that was quite a few years ago. I was wondering if the Vango Banshee 200 would be a good tent to use as that is around my price range.

trangia recommendations by Stephen[_2_]
Good morning, I'm thinking of buying a Trangia. Can anyone advise me on which model to buy? Iw as thinking of the 27 series but some reviews on the internet say go for the 25 series as it is only slightly bigger? Some reviews say the 27 will not feed two hungry people; do you agree? Should I go for the non-stick coating or hard anodised or not bother?

Camper van by Whiskers
I'm teetering on the verge of buying a camper van - my preferred model being the "Lunar Camper Car" based on the Nissan NV200. I saw them at the Birmingham show last year. Has anyone actually used one of that model? Any hints or tips would be welcome. -- -- ^^^^^^^^^^

Mountain Walks On The Isle Of Jura by Keith Fletcher
When I was a young man (sadly many years ago now!) I had a passion for travelling to remote places throughout the UK and overseas. Some of the most memorable places I visited were the Western Isles off the coast of Scotland. They include some of the most unique landscapes in this country, and a step back in time to a more simple existence for the people who inhabit these islands. Going back...

New Forest Psuedo-Wild Camping. by Mark[_18_]
I'm looking for a campsite in the New Forest that provides a bit of a wild camping feel with decent showers and bogs. Camp fires allowed would be a real bonus. A nearby pub would be great too. I did wonder if Holland's Wood might be suitable. On the face of it a massive site but I wonder if it's possible to pitch tents out of the way of anyone else and be in the middle of nowhere but a 2 minute...

Dales Way by Stephan Bird[_2_]
Hi all I thought I had posted this to another place; but looking back I can't find it and e-mails to the forum admins seem to disappear without trace. Indeed, I can't now post to there, but anyways... Has anyone done the Dales Way (Ilkley - Windermere) - any recommendations on sites / guidebooks etc? Thanks

Carlton Park Camping & Caravan Site - Saxmundham by FF[_2_]
Anyone been here? I'd like to stay there for a couple of days in the summer but one review we read said there were houses backing onto the site and DH thinks this might be a bit dodgy - depends what sort of fencing there is I suppose:-) Thanks, Liz

Campers with Motorbikes - Beware of Tesco! by Turk182
Tesco Insurance run a compare site which is dishonest and operates through mis-representation. http://www.tescocompare.com/motorbike.shtml Tesco take a commission from a number of insurers by allowing their own name to be used in connection with attracting customers and then directing the business on to motorcyclke insurance companies. Just seen 'sale - 70% off' signs going up in Blacks in Kingston. Might be worth a visit tomorrow - but bad news for the long term, and I'm glad I'm not a shareholder.
