Caravan battery charge whilst towing by
mir60899
Hello to everyone out there,
Just came across a bit of an oddity on our 2006 Elddis Knightsbridge (Avante clone) which we purchased earlier this year.
We have used it quite a bit over the time we have had it but never realised until yesterday that the on board battery is not recharged whilst towing. The thing that gave the game away was using the motor mover to put the van on the hitch at our...

Wondering if anyone can help me ! by
Callum
Hi all,
I have a couple of things I need answered if possible.
1. I have a Ford Focus 2012 1.6 Diesel Zetec S
(What would be the most I could tow)
2. My driveway is not the biggest, from house to pathway is 22feet so I would need to know the best to go for with that in mind. But I can fit my car along side a caravan when I get one so I will have the full 22ft to use.

Foam filled jockey wheels? by
Harry Bloomfield[_2_]
I am being driven nuts by pnuematic jockey wheels going flat and wonder
if anyone has tried the foam filled type as an alternative?
The one I am looking at, has a similar sized tyre to my pnuematic one,
but has a plastic centre/ hub with roller bearings. Are the plastic
ones strong enough?

M6 Toll - charges for disabled drivers by
Al Stevenson
Further to an earlier thread
I have been on to the toll company who said::
"I can confirm that you are able to tow a caravan with your car and use
your mobility exemption pass providing all of the details are correct
i.e., you are using the correct car and the person to whom the mobility
exemption pass relates to is in the vehicle."
So disabled drivers, once registered for the M6 toll, will...

Water Pump Problems by
Mrtheduke
Hi,
We just had our first outing in our 2004 lunar quasar (our first caravan) that we recently bought. Got on site to discover that the water pump didn't work. I initially switched the pump electrics on before connecting the pump and the pump running light illuminated even though it wasn't attached. I then switched it off and connected the submersed pump switched it back on, opened the kitchen...

only two restricted to a hotspot near the reception/restaurant/shop area.

2004 Lunar Quasar Bunk Beds by
Mrtheduke
Hi,
We've just got a Lunar Quasar 524 2004 (It's our first caravan). Hoping someone can help me out with some info on the bunk beds please. I was able to convert the dinette into the bunk beds, but just wondering if there are supposed to be some kind of side guards fo the top bunk to stop you rolling out? There are some white metal rail things in a cupboard that look like they might be for that,...

Warranty - who is meant to protect by
[email protected]
I want to raise the issue of warranty because as far as I can see it appears a very tortuous and biased system. Tortuous because everything has to go back to the manufacturer and sometimes takes weeks to resolve and biased because they have the last say on whether an item is covered under warranty or not.
I have a Coachman Vision and in March when I came to change the battery out, to keep the...

Advice on Avondale Caravan Door Seal by
Sam
Has anyone had found a supplier of the door seal on the 2007 Avondale
380/2 Dart caravan?
The door is unusual as the inside edge has a curve which pushes into the
seal as the door closes. This is unlike most doors that have a flat
surface that pushes onto the seal.
I've found that the Lunar Zenith 5 GTS caravan of the same year has an
identical door.

Banner charger instructions needed by
Peter Clarke
I've just bought a Land Rover and in the back was a battery charger, a Banner Accugard-Car 1800. Does anyone have instructions for this which they can scan and put on the forum? I think it is the type of charger which you can leave on all the time, ie, over the winter period, but I would like confirmation. Thanks.
